Bing sings Whilst Bregman Swings is Bing Crosby's first album on the Verve label and was a part of Verve's 'Jazz At The Philharmonic Series'. This 1956 recording was considered Crosby's first session with a 'thoroughly modern and swinging orchestra' backing him.
Buddy Bregman was responsible for coming up with the idea for this unique musical package and also conducted a hand-picked group of Hollywood's top musicians and orchestrated all the songs. The original album cover describes Bing Sings Whilst Bregman Swings as 'muscular and tender, driving and romantic, pulsating and lyrical.' Wow!! The songs on this Mobile Fidelity CD Exclusive are among the rare few that had never before been recorded by the prolific and entertaining Bing Crosby.
