Famous for his consistnt and uncompromising individuality, Christian Zacharias gained international renown as the winner of the Geneva Competition and Van Cliburn Competition. He is also an avid chamber musician who teams up with performance partners such as the Alban Berg Quartet, the Guarneri Quartet, the Leipzig String Quartet, Heinrich Schiff, and Frank Peter Zimmermann.
