A closer look

From the beautiful packaging presentation to the audible superiority, this is a must for your collection. This XRCD allows the listener a deeper dive into the many sonic intricacies the album possesses. It gets pretty granular with a great set of headphones. A very satisfying listen. Highly recommended.

Wow...

This album was already well-recorded, so I expected great things from the XRCD. I was not prepared for what I heard on first listen - the weight of the guitar intro on "So Far Away", the horns - pristine throughout, and of course, the thunder of the intro to "Money For Nothing", and "Why Worry" becomes a masterpiece. One of the rare recordings that only gets better with volume. I have said before on another review that I prefer the engineering and musical presentation offered by XRCD technology, with the nuance, detail and balance, and sheer musicality a hard combination to beat. More titles, please.
