The Mobile Fidelity LP Super Deep Cleaner is made to clean very soiled LPs and is also recommended as a pre-cleaner for extra dirty records. The LP Super Deep Cleaner can be used for removing pressing debris and "mold release compound" from sealed LPs. It is twice as powerful as the MFSL LP Super Record Wash and should be used as the first step in the cleaning process. We give this product our highest recommendation!
To achieve the proper base for the MFSL/Record Research Labs fluids, Brian Weitzel (a chemist and LP enthusiast in the Pacific Northwest) designed and built a special copper distillery, producing quadruple deionized water. Distilled water as a base still contains many trace minerals which can be positively or negatively charged and attach themselves to the vinyl.
Deionized water reduces the level of trace minerals in the reacted water, greatly reducing the amount of mineral contaminates on the record itself.
The active portion of the solution is a low level surfactant that is effective at lowering the surface tension, penetrating and lifting grease. This active formula is both alcohol and phosphate free. No volatile organic compounds or ozone depleting substances are used, making MFSL/RRL fluids a true "green" cleaner.
Features: Super concentrated, less water-more active cleaners,
Non alcohol based cleaner, won't damage grooves,
Low level surfactants and low surface tension (easily vacuums away.)
Directions: Apply 4-6 drops, spread with applicator brush to coat record for 3 revolutions. vacuum dry. Repeat process.
