Limited Edition Aqua Blue Vinyl!
Mastered by Joe Reagoso from the Audio Fidelity Tapes!

The late, great Brazilian and Pop Music Queen Astrud Gilberto (Astrud Evangelina Weinert) recorded many great albums over her decades-long career. Known for her early-sixties breakout moment along with Stan Getz and Joao Gilberto on "The Girl from Ipanema," Astrud would further her album catalog to include the Brazilian sounds of bossa nova, soul, jazz and eventually dance and funk thanks to her astounding 1977 masterwork That Girl from Ipanema.

Both Astrud Gilberto and the late, great Vince Montana, Jr. (Salsoul Orchestra) joined forces and produced this jazz- and funk-infused classic utilizing some of the finest songs and an all-star lineup of the "who's who" session players in the industry and kicked things off with her revisit to her own #1 hit "The Girl from Ipanema." This version would become a dance classic of the late seventies which truly serves as a great entree to the rest of this amazing LP.

Choice material includes Cole Porter's "Love for Sale" and Harry Nilsson's classic "The Puppy Song." Featuring a stunning ballad duet of Astrud with the great jazzman Chet Baker, the tune "Far Away" truly is one of the many gems that make this album a real masterwork.

More great tunes like her self-penned "All I've Got" and "We'll Make Today Last Night Again" show the sultry side of this highly acclaimed artist whose artistry is second to none and will continue to entertain millions forever.

This amazing record is mastered impeccably by Joe Reagoso (Weather Report/Santana) from the Audio Fidelity tapes and is pressed on a super limited run of stunningly beautiful aqua blue vinyl.

As you listen to this wonderful album, you will not only be mesmerized by the voice of Astrud Gilberto, but you will be thrilled to talents of many great musicians like the legendary bassist Ron Carter, guitar great Elliot Randall, Warren Bernhardt on Moog (Steely Dan/Simon & Garfunkel), jazz trumpeter great Urbie Green, Lou Marini (Blues Brothers) Don Sebesky and Dom Um Ramao (Weather Report).

This will be one of the more important jazz & Brazilian album revisits this year. ENJOY!!!
