Your equipment is constantly bathed in a "sea" of electrical noise. Most line filters treat only the power coming directly into the equipment. They do nothing about the noise generated by other electronic devices. The Quietline™ Noise Reduction System is a new way to reduce the electrical noise and interference that degrades the sound of your audio system.
The Quietline™ Noise Reduction System is more effective than conventional filters, because it reduces noise at its source. Quietline™ is a very effective shunt filter. It sits across the power line, rather than in series with it, cleaning up noise and interference without affecting the flow of power to your electronics.
There are several sources of electrical noise in nearly every building. The power line itself is inherently noisy and can act as an excellent antenna for atmospheric electrical noise. Defective utility equipment and loose or corroded connections can also create noise.
Radio-frequency interference or RFI (usually radio or TV signals), can have grossly audible effects (such as a buzz from a TV station or hearing CB calls), or more subtle effects (such as veiling, grain and flattening of perspective.)
Electromagnetic interference (EMI) is the "hash" radiated by your computer as well as the pops from your refrigerator's compressor. This noise can enter your electronics through the power line, speaker cables or even along the shield on interconnects.

At first, I wasn't sure I heard anything. So, after a few months of use I went around and pulled them all out. That was dramatic. I couldn't put them back in fast enough.
Four QuietLines produced the best noise suppression and most improvement in sound for the lowest cost of any of the PLC products that were tested. The easy-to-use QuietLines are simple effective. Going to eight QuietLine filters is definitely worth the cost. The noise floor seems to be roughly twice as quiet as with four QuietLines with another step up in detail.
