New & Improved for Maximum Isolation, Absorption & Effectiveness!
Unwanted vibrations and resonances are enemies of good sound... no components are immune. AudioQuestÂ’s newly redesigned Q-Feet are the secret weapon for combating these villains, isolating components from external vibrations, and absorbing resonances generated within those components or through the air from speakers and subwoofers nearby.
The Q-Feet System uses a critically engineered combination of SorboGel and a PVC holding tray. SorboGel is a dense visco-elastic polymer in a semi-liquid/semi-solid state. Its very long molecules are able to “wiggle,” dissipating incoming kinetic energy (vibration) into an insignificant amount of heat.
The AudioQuest Q-Feet come in boxes of 4, and will support up to 6.5 pounds each (26lb/4, 12kg/4) while providing maximum effectiveness. Excess weight compresses Q-Feet, compromising isolation and absorption. For heavier equipment, simply use more Q-Feet.
Q-Feet are used with the flat, soft SorboGel side against the underside of the equipment and the PVC tray side facing the furniture or floor on which your equipment rests (SorboGel can leave behind residue that can potentially damage furniture finishes). In addition to protecting furniture, Q-Feet are more effective as a system with their PVC trays in place.
Whether your system is comprised of analog components featuring a turntable, or a computer-audio system with an SSD (Solid-State Drive), the AudioQuest Q-Feet are a stealth weapon that you wonÂ’t see, but you will certainly hear the beautifully improved sound.
