Special (COVID-19) Edition Features 4 (Not 10) Artists Celebrating 7th Year Of Beloved Pink Vinyl Initiative For Gilda's Club NYC

Ten Bands re-issue their albums on limited edition pink vinyl, all for one cause. This is the 7th year for the initiative that has raised over $250,000 for Gilda's Club NYC, an organization that provides community support for both those diagnosed with cancer and their caretakers. It is named after comedian Gilda Radner, who passed away from cancer at the age of 43 in 1989. In response to the coronavirus outbreak, they have transitioned their in-person cancer support program to a virtual program to continue to provide free services to cancer patients who are among the most vulnerable populations of this pandemic.

This year's set is a modified "special edition" with respect to the COVID-19 pandemic featuring 4 (not 10) fantastic titles by much-loved artists, including, Fitz and the Tantrums' Pickin' Up The Pieces 10th Anniversary (Dangerbird), Brian Fallon's Local Honey (Lesser Known Records), Twin Peaks' Side A (Grand Jury), and Chiodos' All's Well That Ends Well 15th Anniversary (Equal Vision), each to be released on 10" or 12" pink vinyl packages.

The lead singer of beloved heartland-punk band The Gaslight Anthem, Brian Fallon steps away from that sound and into a stripped-down Americana space on his third solo album, Local Honey. Produced by Grammy-award winning producer Peter Katis (The National, Frightened Rabbit, Death Cab for Cutie), the album showcases Fallon's songwriting in small vignettes, from a loving devotional for his daughter to a vengeful murder ballad.

His third solo effort fuses the pitter-patter of his heartbeat with the kind of intimacy felt through albums like Emmylou Harris' Wrecking Ball and Bob Dylan's Time Out of Mind, both evident benchmarks for this release. His songwriting burns into the atmosphere in a way that never has before; perhaps, that's largely owed to the minimalist framework - or lies in his emotive vocal twists. Either way, Fallon's words grind you to a halt.
