Lacquers Cut From Original Analog Masters by Capitol Mastering's Ron McMaster!

The second studio album from Buddy Guy was recorded in 1968 for Vanguard Records. The guitarist performs alongside pianist Otis Spann, bassist Jack Myers, Wayne Bennett on rhythm guitar and more.

Buddy Guy’s legendary electric guitar licks and passionate vocals are on display in this influential, 1968 album, where the celebrated musician bridges Chicago blues with R&B. Remastered from the original analog tapes, this 50th anniversary edition of the album is pressed on 180-gram vinyl and housed in an old-school-style, tip-on jacket.

"The Original Blues Brothers," as Rolling Stone dubbed them (Buddy Guy and Junior Wells), were frequent studio and stage collaborators throughout the ‘60s and ’70s, producing some of their finest recorded work together. 2018 marks the 50th anniversary for both Buddy Guy’s A Man and the Blues and Junior Well’s Coming at You, seminal albums from the Vanguard Records archives that were among the first to capture Chicago’s signature electric blues sound. Both titles are reissued on 180-gram vinyl cut from the original analog masters by Capitol Mastering’s Ron McMaster.
