180g Vinyl! Out of Print on Vinyl for over 30 Years!
Can was founded in 1968 by Irmin Schmidt, Holger Czukay, Michael Karoli, and Jaki Liebezeit who formed a group which would utilize and transcend all boundaries of ethnic, electronic experimental, and modern classical music.
Flow Motion is Can's 8th studio album and features the UK hit single "I Want More." The success of the single led to an appearance on Top of the Pops. Flow Motion was mixed using binaural stereo, a method of recording sound that uses two microphones, arranged with the intent to create a 3-D stereo sound sensation for the listener of actually being in the room with the performers and instruments.
The bands powerful influence has never diminished, and their indelible mark is apparent in the bands who freely acknowledge their importance - from Portishead, James Murphy, New Order, Factory Floor, Public Image Ltd, Mogwai, Kanye West (who sampled Sing Swan Song) and Radiohead - as well as across other disciplines such as visual art and literature.
