Charles Munch conducts the Orchestre de Paris for this 1967 recording of Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz.

2019 marks the 150th anniversary of Hector Berliozs death (on 8th March 1869). This recording is the very first made by the Orchestre de Paris, made between October 23rd and 26th 1967, three weeks before the inaugural concert at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées on November 14th 1967, with the same Symphonie fantastique among other works by Debussy and Stravinsky.
