This stunning vinyl anthology on Friday Music was compiled and sequenced by Daryl Hall and is mastered impeccably by Joe Reagoso (Daryl Hall & John Oates/Todd Rundgren/Carly Simon). BeforeAfter features 30 songs that showcase one of the most familiar and most loved artists of our time.
This collection demonstrates Daryl's tenacity in the studio and live, with personally selected tracks featuring tunes from his very first solo Sacred Songs featuring the guitar wizardry of King Crimson's Robert Fripp, as well as more hit fare like "Dreamtime," "Right As Rain" (featuring Joni Mitchell on background vocals) and "Foolish Pride" from his hit follow-up Three Hearts in the Happy Ending Machine.
The artist's penchant for Philly soul is shown throughout the entire package, including a bevy of favorites from his Soul Alone jam including his incredible interpretation of Marvin Gaye's "Stop Loving Me, Stop Loving You" and his hit single "I'm in a Philly Mood."
Super rare tracks from his highly successful Live from Daryl's House show are represented here with his pal Todd Rundgren dueting phenomenally on the "Can We Still Be Friends," plus the great Dave Stewart and Daryl Hall collaboration on The Eurythmics hit "Here Comes the Rain Again."
