The song Golden Years was released as a single in November 1975 with "Can You Hear Me" on the flip-side. The song was shortened for the single with the full-length song added to the tracklist on the Station to Station album released in January 1976.

Both sides of this 45rpm 7" vinyl picture disc features photos by Steve Schapiro. The image on side AA is a previously unseen shot.
