New Vinyl LP From Pianist Fred Hersch!
Featuring Songs By The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Duke Ellington & More!
The new solo piano album from Fred Hersch, Songs From Home, drops on Palmetto Records on November 6th.
This is Hersch's pandemic-inspired record. During lockdown, Hersch performed daily for a Facebook audience, just him and a piano. These performances eventually led to Songs From Home. This new album features renditions of some very famous songs, like "When I'm Sixty-Four" by The Beatles and "Get Out Of Town" by the great Cole Porter.
Fred Hersch has composed and released more than 70 jazz records and has been nominated for several Grammy Awards, most recently in 2018, when he received nominations in the Best Jazz Instrumental Album and Best Improvised Jazz categories.
