Originally recorded by the King Biscuit Flower Hour for radio broadcast in the U.S., the tapes were considered good enough to rush out as a budget priced LP in the U.K. just as the band began their "Foxtrot" tour. This all too short (up to that point "Greatest Hits") collection is just a glimpse of the theatrical potential and audience interaction that Peter Gabriel and Co. were building on. From the opening anthem "Watcher of the Skies", the album steadily gains momentum from drummer Phil Collins' steady beat, Steve Hackett's shimmering guitar work, Mike Rutherfords's bass and bass-pedal effects filling the gaps and Tony Banks binding the whole affair with his Mellotron and multi-keyboards. Out front Gabriel possesses every song as if it were his last. Get'em out by Friday , The Return of the Giant Hogweed , Musical Box and The Knife round out this dynamic set from 1973.

Selections:
1. Watcher of the Skies
2. Get 'Em Out By Friday
3. The Return of the Giant Hogweed
4. Musical Box
5. The Knife
