52mm X2 Dynamic Driver

At the center of the GS3000 is Grado's 52mm X2 dynamic driver utilizing a Mylar diaphragm, copper voice coil, and rare earth magnetic system engineered for high efficiency and dynamic control.

Within the Classic Series the X2 architecture also benefits from refined tuning developed through years of listening and feedback improving balance, resolution, and low frequency control while preserving the lively character that defines the Grado sound.

The larger diaphragm allows the GS3000 to move more air with ease delivering deeper bass extension, greater dynamic headroom, and an expansive sense of scale.

Signature Gold Headband Assembly

The GS3000 incorporates Grado's Signature Gold headband assembly representing the most refined mechanical platform used across the Classic Series.

The system features engraved aluminum alloy gimbals, stainless steel height rods, and reinforced aluminum junction blocks designed to improve structural stability and long term durability while maintaining controlled rotation for proper alignment.

A genuine leather headstrap with contrasting white stitching provides comfort during extended listening sessions while the internal steel spring band allows listeners to easily adjust clamping pressure for a personalized fit.

On the GS3000 the assembly is paired with a wider leather headstrap improving weight distribution and stability for the larger platform design.

Gold Cable

The GS3000 is supplied with Grado's Gold cable engineered to support the scale and authority of the 52mm driver platform while maintaining signal integrity and flexibility.

G Cushions

The GS3000 ships standard with Grado G cushions positioning the driver farther from the ear to expand perceived stage and dimensionality.

Like all Grado cushions they also act as a tuning element allowing listeners to personalize their listening experience through cushion selection.

Cocobolo & Aluminum Housing

The GS3000 pairs a cocobolo outer housing with a precision machined aluminum inner insert.

Cocobolo is a dense exotic hardwood known for its rich tonal character and striking grain patterns. Its natural resonance contributes warmth and depth to the presentation.

The aluminum insert adds structural rigidity and internal control, helping manage resonance while maintaining clarity and precision.
