Alive In Seattle captures the revived HeartÂ’s hometown last gig on their 2002 Summer of Love tour. Heart was one of the major rock bands of the Seventies and Eighties. The Wilson sisters chose to backburner the Heart name in the mid-Nineties. They seemed to sense that the bandÂ’s powerful spirit had been somewhat diminished in the wake of the groupÂ’s massively successful Eighties second coming. After a long rest things came alive again and Heart hit the road in 2002 with a new line-up that revitalized the music.
Alive In Seattle features brand new Heart material—“Sister Wild Rose,” “Heaven,” “Two Faces Of Eve,” “Break The Rock”—as well as past classics and a few winning covers—“Mona Lisa’s and Mad Hatters,” “Battle of Evermore,” “Black Dog,” “The Witch”—all recorded live and available for the very first time on this very special two-disc set.
