180g Vinyl Reissue! Mastered from the Original Masters and Cut at Abbey Road Studios! Pressed at Optimal!
Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums of All Time - Rated 223/500!
Imagine is the second studio album by John Lennon. Recorded and released in 1971, the album is more heavily produced in contrast to the basic, raw arrangements of his previous album, the critically acclaimed John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band. The album is considered the most popular of his works and the title track is considered one of Lennon's finest songs. In 2012, Imagine was voted 80th on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time."
The album was remastered from John Lennons original mixes in 2010 by a team of engineers led by Allan Rouse at Abbey Road Studios in London and by George Marino at Avatar Studios in New York. The new vinyl master was cut by Sean Magee at Abbey Road Studios and the LP has been manufactured for the world by Optimal Media in Germany.
This 180g vinyl reissue of the 1971 classic album is an authentic reproduction of its U.K. original, in its sound and visual presentation.
John Lennon is one of the worlds most celebrated songwriters and performers of all time. Lennon has been posthumously honored with a Lifetime Achievement GRAMMY® Award and two special BRIT Awards for Outstanding Contribution to Music, and he has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame. In 2008, Rolling Stone ranked him in the Top 5 of the magazines 100 Greatest Singers Of All Time list.
