180g Vinyl Double LP Reissue! Mastered from the Original Masters and Cut at Abbey Road Studios! Pressed at Optimal!
Some Time in New York City is a studio album by John Lennon. Released in 1972, it is Lennon's third post-Beatles solo album, fifth with Yoko Ono, and third with producer Phil Spector. This album found the Lennons in an explicitly political phase; understandable as Lennon was neck-deep in his struggle to remain in the United States, a conflict rooted in his antiwar and antiestablishment politics and the enmity of the Nixon administration.
The album was remastered from John Lennons original mixes in 2010 by a team of engineers led by Allan Rouse at Abbey Road Studios in London and by George Marino at Avatar Studios in New York. The new vinyl master was cut by Sean Magee at Abbey Road Studios and the LP has been manufactured for the world by Optimal Media in Germany.
This 180g vinyl reissue of the 1972 classic album is an authentic reproduction of its U.K. original, in its sound and visual presentation.
John Lennon is one of the worlds most celebrated songwriters and performers of all time. Lennon has been posthumously honored with a Lifetime Achievement GRAMMY® Award and two special BRIT Awards for Outstanding Contribution to Music, and he has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
