Audiophile and business owner, Charles Kirmuss, spent 4 years researching how vinyl records are created and the environments in which they are stored. This work culminated in the development of an affordable and simple-to-use cleaning and restoration system known as the KirmussAudio Model KA-RC-1 Record Cleaner.

The KA-RC-1 Ultrasonic Record Restoration System will increase your listening pleasure by eliminating most of those pop and crackling sounds from both new and old records, breathing life into your music collection. Through KirmussAudio's patented and patents-pending record suspension system, fungus and remnants of prior cleanings are stripped off the record. Quite frankly, the KirmussAudio Model KA-RC-1 Revolutionizes the way vinyl records are cleaned.

When playing vinyl records, audible pops and crackles emerge when dirt, grime, and particles lodged in the record grooves are hit by the stylus of your cartridge. These contaminants build up on the stylus over time, dulling the sound.

KirmussAudio's record suspension system assures that vinyl records of any size and speed are cleaned safely. No damage can befall your records by mechanical intrusion of skewers.

Only distilled water with a maximum of 40 mL (1.4 oz) of Isopropyl 70% solution is required for the initial degrease bath, with subsequent restoration cycles requiring KirmusAudio's pvc-friendly, water-soluble, antibacterial, antifungal, and antistatic surfactant. This surfactant, which removes surface contaminants other cleaning systems can only dream of, is applied to vinyl records with the supplied goat hair brush. Then, ultrasonic sound in combination with the applied surfactant, work together to allow the water solution to penetrate the fine grooves of vinyl records. This is what finally removes those pesky contaminants.

Note: The KA-AS-1 and KA-AS-1-R1 surfactant fluid is only compatible with the KirmussAudio KA-RC-1 and is not to be used with any other record cleaning system.
