180g Vinyl LP Pressed at Quality Record Pressings!
Celebrating four decades of decibels, KISS, Mercury Records and UMe proudly announce reissuing the legendary KISS albums on 180g audiophile vinyl. Remastered to high definition 192kHz/24-bit audio for maximum fidelity, these albums have never sounded so amazing and now vinyl collectors will get what theyve been demanding. All posters, sleeve art, stickers, etc that appeared in the original LP release where applicable have been faithfully reproduced for the KISS Army.
Creatures of the Night is the tenth studio album by Kiss. It is the band's last for Casablanca Records, the only label for which Kiss had recorded up to this point. It is also the band's last album recorded with Ace Frehley credited as an official member (until 1998's Psycho Circus), and its first album with Vinnie Vincent as the initially uncredited lead guitarist (Vincent would later be credited, but not featured pictorially on the cover, or 1985's reissue of the album).
With Creatures of The Night, KISS made a conscious effort to return to the hard rock style from previous commercially successful albums such as Destroyer and Love Gun. Songwriter/guitarist Vinnie Vincent aided in this endeavor. The only ballad on Creatures of the Night was "I Still Love You" which was heavier and darker than any previous ballad by the group. Eric Carr's drumming also contributed to the heavier sound with a style more akin to John Bonham than that of Peter Criss.
"Easily their best since 1977's Love Gun, Creatures of the Night contains very little filler and sounds as if Kiss had been reborn (it also includes one of the heaviest drum sounds ever captured in the studio by any rock band). The band is inspired and enthusiastic throughout...one of Kiss' most underrated." -Greg Prato, allmusic.com
