180g Audiophile Vinyl LP!
1994 Album on Vinyl for the Very First Time!
Produced by Brian Eno!
Contributions from Lou Reed & Adrian Belew!
Numbered, Limited Edition Red Vinyl - 3000 Copies!

Five years after the release of 1989's pop-oriented album Strange Angels, Laurie Anderson followed up with the avant-garde concept album Bright Red, a Brian Eno production exploring much darker territory. Eno also co-wrote four tracks: "The Puppet Motel," "Muddy River," "Poison" and "Tightrope." For the recordings, Anderson was supported by Adrian Belew, who provided guitars on several tracks. Belew is best known as the lead vocalist and guitarist of King Crimson.

During the time of the recording of Bright Red, Laurie Anderson and Lou Reed just started dating. They collaborated on a number of recordings together, including the duet "In Our Sleep" that is featured on Bright Red.

Bright Red is available on vinyl for the first time as a limited edition of 3,000 individually numbered copies on red colored vinyl and includes a 4-page booklet with lyrics.

With the help of Brian Eno's spare production, these compositions rivet the listener's attention. Anderson's voice emerges from digital blackness, often accompanied only by sinuous percussion. Her narratives - in first or second person, rarely embracing 'we' - take on tragic force.
-Scott Isler, Rolling Stone, 4/5 stars
