After a slew of albums that had build Led Zeppelin into the biggest rock band in the world, there was a frenzied anticipation for 1975's Physical Graffiti. Misters Page, Jones, Bonham, and Plant did not disappoint. This two-disc LP is a sprawling and adventurous effort, again propelling the band farther from its four beat blues and roots to a progressing rock unit.
Dabbling in middle-eastern rhythms, folk styling and their signature heavy blues rock riffs, the result pushes Graffiti to the upper echelon of the double albums that were prevalent (and usually indulgent) of all major rock acts in the 70s.
