Milton Santos de Almeida aka Miltinho has a respectable resumé in Brazilian music as a singer and instrumentalist and as a leader in several successful samba ensembles. His instrument before the microphone was the tambourine. He was one of the first panderista vocal ensembles in Brazil combining two skills: singing and playing. And speaking of bands, Miltinho was in one of the most successful groups in the 1940s, the Anjos do Inferno, who toured with Carmen Miranda. On Miltinho É Samba (1963), he is accompanied by the Orquestra RGE with arrangements and musical direction by Maestro Rubens Perez (Pocho) and Nelsinho.

The great Miltinho, a Brazilian music legend. The Miltinho's poem is the voice of the hands, the tears, the young girl and woman. The voice that tells the stars of the sky, the moon phases and drops of seawater. In the voice of Milton, the world takes on new measures: "In my hands the farewell / Into your hands my life." Miltinho's samba is played with the dexterity of who carves a stone.
