First RV is Nitty Gritty's environmentally friendly, propellant-free pre-cleaner for vinyl records. Due to its high specific gravity and low surface tension, First RV flows into the record grooves, dissolving mold-release compounds and fingerprints, and reduces stylus friction and/or poor tracking. (It also removes fingerprints from CDs and DVDs!)
One 16oz. Bottle of First RV Pre-Cleaner Fluid cleans between 60-80 LPs.
1. Place the record on a clean, flat surface, or on the record support platter of the Nitty Gritty cleaning system.
2. Apply First RV liberally to the applicator (sold separately). Immediately brush the grooved section of the record, following the curvatures of the grooves.
3. Follow with a normal cleaning on your Nitty Gritty (or any other) wet/vac system.
NOTE: DO NOT put First RV in the pump, if you have a fluid injection system! Vinyl pre-cleaner; must be applied with separate applicator.
