Venus and Mars is the fourth album by Wings. Released as the follow-up to the enormously successful Band on the Run, Venus and Mars continued Wings' string of success and would prove a springboard for a year-long worldwide tour. It was Paul McCartney's first post-Beatles release on the Capitol Records label.

The 1973 album Band on the Run featured a trio of Paul McCartney and wife Linda along with guitarist Denny Laine. In 1974 McCartney added guitarist Jimmy McCulloch and drummer Geoff Britton to the lineup. However, due to a personality conflict between McCulloch and Britton, Joe English was hired to replace Britton to finish the album. The album was preceded by the single "Listen to What the Man Said," which helped to boost anticipation and sales of the album.

Now reissued on 180g red/yellow vinyl with limited-time download card to complete your collection.
