Mark Lindsay notes "The 'Spirit of '67' was the Raiders' third gold album, and our first album to produce three hit singles. Terry Melcher and my collaboration was really rocking by this time, and the result was, I think, one of our best albums. Apparently Quentin Tarantino thought so too, as he included two of those singles 'Good Thing' and 'Hungry' in 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood', and gave the LP cover and vinyl a cameo."
