The T1 EVO Series adds the classic Ortofon OM 10 phono cartridge, a larger 'Debut-sized' sub-platter as well as electronic speed change for all models. The T1 EVO base model is a conventional manual turntable. It requires either an outboard phono preamp or a PHONO input on the receiving end.
T1 EVO - Your Introduction to High-Fidelity
The T1 EVO aims to deliver true high-fidelity sonics for vinyl enthusiasts on a limited budget. Boasting premium materials, stylish aesthetics and rich, lively sound quality, Pro-Ject's extensive development process has ensured no compromise to sonics in the design and build of T1 EVO. The stylish CNC-machined plinth (available in gloss black, satin white or satin walnut laminates) uses no plastic and is carefully manufactured to eliminate resonant hollow spaces that would otherwise detract from sound quality. 'Sound-first' principles are implemented throughout. The glass platter is heavy and non-resonant, again avoiding the flaws of plastic and cheap steel alternatives. Additionally, the purpose-selected turntable feet are highly effective in isolating the T1 EVO from ambient vibrations in the vicinity of your hi-fi system.
Audiophile Implements
T1 EVO's motor drives a belt attached to a larger sub-platter (Debut-sized!) which rotates in a bearing assembly machined to tolerances within 0.001mm. It's comprised of a stainless steel spindle in brass bushing. All told, the T1 EVO drive system ensures stable and accurate platter speeds with non-resonant behavior, allowing the tonearm and cartridge to perform their very best. The tonearm is an 8.6" one-piece aluminum design, meaning the headshell and armtube are integrated for the sake of rigidity and resonance control. High-quality bearings allow for silent and frictionless motion of the tonearm. Supplied with an Ortofon OM 10 moving magnet cartridge featuring an elliptical diamond stylus tip, this is a true hi-fi playback system with no corners cut! The cartridge is aligned, tracking force is set at the factory and anti-skating is built-in, sparing you the trickiest parts of turntable setup so that you can be spinning vinyl in mere minutes.
