Queen's 10th studio album, originally released in 1982, marked a shift in style from their earlier work incorporating elements of disco, pop, r&b and dance music on Hot Space.
Queen opted to create this dance-oriented album from the influence of the massive success of "Another One Bites the Dust" in the U.S. The album's second single "Body Language" peaked at No. 11 on the U.S. charts.
The group's collaboration with David Bowie, "Under Pressure", was released in 1981 and became the band's second No. 1 hit in the UK. The song had been recorded prior to the band's decision to record an album of dance music.
