The RUBY 2 DAC is the latest plug-in upgrade module for the EVOLUTION 50A and EVOLUTION 100A integrated amlifiers, bringing Bluetooth functionality, an FM radio tuner, and digital connectivity via USB 2 and SPDIF.
Employing similar topology to the EVOLUTION 50CD, the RUBY 2 DAC uses a single Wolfson WM8742 DAC chip.
Bring Bluetooth to Your EVOLUTION 50A/100A
The RUBY 2 DAC also adds the highly useful feature of Bluetooth connectivity to your EVOLUTION 50A or EVOLUTION 100A amp. So smart phones, tablets, and other Bluetooth enabled devices can be synced to the amp and your favorite music streamed wirelessly.
FM Radio Tuner Built In
In addition to this surprising amount of connectivity in such a small module, Creek have also incorporated the same FM tuner circuit, used in the brilliant AMBIT module, to provide FM connectivity to the RUBY 2 DAC. Sound quality is further improved over the AMBIT module by selecting the tuner's digital output and converting that to analog via the RUBY's own high-end DAC.
PC or MAC Connection via USB 2
The Class 2 USB input is capable of playing high resolution music files, up to 24 bit 192 kHz, from either a PC or MAC computer. USB cables up to 5 metrs (16.4 feet) may be used with the RUBY 2 DAC.
