Just like its predecessor Supernatural, Santana invited contemporary artists to collaborate with him, across genres including neo-soul, pop, rock, metal, and opera. Artists such as Seal, P.O.D., Chad Kroeger, Dido, Michelle Branch, Macy Gray, Music, Citizen Cope, Alejandro Lerner, Plácido Domingos, and Ozomatlí can be heard on the album.

The album went gold and platinum in more than 20 countries. Incredible! The singles "The Game of Love" (feat. Michelle Branch) and "Why Don't You & I" (feat. Chad Kroeger) were worldwide hits. "The Game of Love" is still one of Santana's biggest hits in the streaming era.
