Numbered, Limited Edition 180g Vinyl 6LP Box Set!
Newly Remastered from First-Generation Analog Sources!
From the original acoustic version of "The Sound of Silence" found on their 1964 debut, Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M., through the healing anthem from which their 1970 swan song, Bridge Over Troubled Water, took its title, the music of Simon & Garfunekl struck a deep chord during the most mind-blowingly creative period of the 20th century. That Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel accomplished so much with but five studio albums in the space of six years renders their achievement that much more monumental.
You couldn't turn on a Top 40 station in those days without hearing their restrained, elegantly harmonized and fingerpicked songs, as these unlikely hitmakers were racking up 11 Top 20 singles, including four chart-toppers. But it was their albums that the core fans cared about, and wore out. The five studio LPs that the duo recorded during their years together, along with the essential Simon and Garfunkel's Greatest Hits, from the core of Paul & Artie's beguiling body of work. It's all here, newly remastered for vinyl, from the original analog tapes, affording longtime fans the opportunity to experience this magical cosmology just as they did decades ago, while enabling music lovers of succeeding generations to immerse themselves in a one-of-a-kind experience.
Included are the following albums: "Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M.," "Sounds Of Silence," "Parsley, Sage, Rosemary & Thyme," "Bookends," "Bridge Over Troubled Water," and a sixth disc with the folk duo's greatest hits!
