The companion album to Waltz With Debby, this was recorded at the same show at Vanguard. The trio featured Bill Evans on piano, Scott Lafaro, bass and Paul Motian on drums. The music here has a special aura and introspection that was unique to Evans' style. While very accessible by any standard, there is a complexity just below the surface for those inclined to listen on a more serious level; a classic album that belongs in every jazz collection.
