Newly Independent Chrysalis Records continues to repackage and refurbish the classic albums released upon the label this time Blodwyn Pig Ahead Rings Out.

Mick Abrahams was one of the original members and songwriters within Jethro Tull and recorded their first album "This Was" with them before leaving to start his own more blues/progressive based band Blodwyn Pig in 1969. Ahead Rings Out charted in the top ten upon release in the UK.

The 2018 vinyl cut is by Alchemy Mastering. Transferred from the original 1969 ¼" production master using a Studer A80 Tape Machine, cut on a Neumann VMS 80 with a sx74 Cutter Head, cutting amps, SAL 748 [modified]. The vinyl is repressed for the first time in 20 years.
