The Fire Theft is a rock band from Seattle formed in 2001 by vocalist/guitarist Jeremy Enigk, bassist Nate Mendel, and drummer William Goldsmith, all of who were previous members of Sunny Day Real Estate. Mendel currently plays bass for the Foo Fighters and Goldsmith drummed for the Foo Fighters between 1995 and 1997 while Jeremy has carried on a solo career recording for Sub Pop and his own Lewis Hollow label.

The band has been on hiatus since 2004, but there was no official break up. As The Fire Theft, the band released one full length self-titled album on September 23, 2003, The Hands On You EP on January 13, 2004 and Chain as a single, all on Rykodisc.

Run Out Groove has worked closely with Jeremy to finally make The Fire Thefts full length album available on vinyl for the first time. The 2LP set features brand new artwork, pressed on 180g colored vinyl and housed in a gatefold Stoughton tip-on jacket.
