Often hailed as the first musical family of New Orleans, The Neville Brothers were spawned in part from the resident New Orleans session band The Meters. The group is grounded in the Crescent City musical fraternity that includes a wide range of influences: pianist James Booker, Mac (Dr. John) Rebennack, the Wild Tchoupitoulas Mardi Gras Indians and Allen Toussaint.

A great place for Neville novices to begin, Fiyo On The Bayou is considered the collection that help blast them to superstar status. Originally released in 1981 on A&M, the recording features the brothers Art, Cyril, Charles and current favorite Aaron, plus special guests that include the Persuasions and a very young Whitney Houston on background vocals, David 'Fathead' Newman on sax and Dr. John on keyboards.

Selections:
1. Hey Pocky Way
2. Sweet Honey Dripper
3. Fire On The Bayou
4. The Ten Commandments Of Love
5. Sitting In Limbo
6. Brother John / Iko Iko
7. Mona Lisa - dedicated to Bette Midler
8. Run Joe
