Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums of All Time - Rated 185/500!
Beggars Banquet was the first album by the Rolling Stones produced by Jimmy Miller and marks the start of what is considered their most prolific album era. Recorded between March and July of 1968 at Olympic Sound Studios in London and mixed at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles. Opening with the iconic "Sympathy for the Devil," the album features many of the Stones' most memorable tracks, including "Street Fighting Man," "No Expectations," and "Parachute Woman."
Available on Grey/Blue/Black/White Swirl LP as an ode to the lyric "A swirling mass of grey, blue, black and white," from the track "Salt of the Earth." Features the original artwork, plus a replica window display poster. Limited Edition.
Please note that each vinyl is unique and the colors may appear slightly different from the image displayed.
After the wayward psychedelia of Their Satanic Majesties Request, and with guitarist Brian Jones largely AWOL, Richards' record collection led the Rolling Stones back to their version of America: country music on 'Dear Doctor,' the blues on 'Prodigal Son,' and urban riots on 'Street Fighting Man.' And 'Sympathy for the Devil,' of course, is an anthem for the darkness in every human heart.
one of the top blues-based rock records of all time
