The 1970s brought us a lot of great music and some of the finest dance recordings ever waxed. A lot of the r&b, disco and dance pop music flourished out of the Philadelphia area thanks to a bountiful collective of creative musicians, writers and producers. The Salsoul Orchestra were one of the eras most celebrated and definitive bands on the scene, which was led by one of dance musics biggest pioneers Vince Montana Jr.
1976s Christmas Jollies was one of the most played albums in clubs, on radio, in record stores and on television during the classic dance era and still maintains its status as one of the most revered albums in the holiday music genre.
