Vibrapod Isolators eliminate unwanted vibrations in your system. Vibrapod Isolators and Cones are the most cost-effective component isolation solution that you will find anywhere! Use them together for increased performance.
Optimally loaded at 16 LBS a piece, the Model 4 is suggested to be used under Heavy Power-Amps or Speakers. Basically, units weighing 56 to 72lbs.
Dimensions:
2 1/2" in diameter
5/8" tall
Vibrapod Isolators can be used independently or with Vibrapod Cones for maximum results.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. Why do I need VIBRAPOD Isolators?
A. Because inherent vibrations degrade the sound quality of your audio/video system.
Q. How do VIBRAPOD Isolators work?
A. VIBRAPOD Isolators were designed to isolate your components from vibration in both the horizontal and vertical planes.
Q. What effect will my VIBRAPOD Isolators have on my system?
A. You will notice an extended more defined bass, improved imaging and soundstage, greater dynamics and detail, plus sharper video images.
Q. Where should I place my VIBRAPOD Isolators?
A. Under flat areas of the component with more VIBRAPOD Isolators at or near the heaviest areas and at the edges. If there are no flat areas then place your component on a piece of 3/8" to 1/2" thick MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) or plastic, or 1/4" glass shelving ( though glass is highly resonant ) locating VIBRAPOD Isolators below. The VIBRAPOD Sandwich.
Q. My component is much heavier on one side. How do I use VIBRAPOD Isolators?
A. Use a combination of Models 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 VIBRAPOD Isolators placing the Models 3, 4, or 5 VIBRAPOD Isolators under the heaviest area of your component and either the Models 1, 2, or 3 VIBRAPOD Isolators under the lighter areas.
Q. How do I know how many of what model VIBRAPOD to use?
A. Do not put more than necessary under a component. More does not mean better. However, More of a Lower Model will usually perform better than Fewer of a Higher Model. For instance, if a component weighs 20 lbs. 8 Model 1's will usually perform better than 4 Model 2's.
Q. Which way up should VIBRAPOD Isolators be placed?
A. Either Dome up or down.
Q. Can I place my VIBRAPOD Isolators in groups?
A. We donÂ’t recommend CLOSE triangular formations where they touch.
Q. Can I replace the feet that are on my component with VIBRAPOD Isolators?
A. Yes, but please check with your dealer for proper installation.
Q. Can I use VIBRAPOD Isolators in conjunction with air isolation devices?
A. Yes, but in some instances not with the same component.
Q. Can I use VIBRAPOD Isolators under rugs or carpet?
A. VIBRAPOD Isolators were not designed for use under carpets or rugs.
Q. Can VIBRAPOD Isolators be used in between components?
A. Yes. Use either the Model 3, 4 or 5 VIBRAPOD Isolators under the bottom component and use enough to support the combined weight of the stacked components. We do not recommend stacking components.
Q. Can I put VIBRAPOD Isolators under my speakers?
A. Yes.
Q. How do I place the VIBRAPOD Isolators under my equipment?
A. It is easiest placing VIBRAPOD Isolators using some 3/4" wood blocks under the sides of your equipment and then sliding the VIBRAPOD Isolators in using a long spoon or fork. They will slide easiest with the Dome facing up.
Q. My VIBRAPOD Isolators look slightly squished when in place. Does this mean that they are no longer isolating?
A. VIBRAPOD Isolators should be 'loaded' or under some pressure for best isolation. They should not be flattened but a deformation of the Dome is normal.
Q. I have put too much weight on my VIBRAPOD Isolators and they are really squashed. Is there any way to fix this?
A. Yes. Place the squashed VIBRAPOD Isolators on a flat cookie sheet and bake in an oven at 175° to 200° F ( 80° to 94° C) for 10 minutes or 5 minutes in a convection oven. Remove from the oven and place in a safe area away from children until they have cooled. You may want to wait several hours for them to return to their normal consistency before putting them back in service.
Q. The VIBRAPOD Isolators came looking slightly out of round from the dealer. Are these ok?
A. Yes, and you may want to do the same to these VIBRAPOD Isolators as in the answer above. DO NOT MICROWAVE!
