Recorded on June 25, 1960, True Blue was Tina Brooks' only date as leader to be released during his lifetime. Brooks is joined by Freddie Hubbard, Duke Jordan, Sam Jones and Art Taylor.

Newly-remastered for vinyl as part of an overall Blue Note 75th anniversary vinyl reissue campaign spearheaded by current Blue Note Records President, Don Was.
