"Quatro: The Definitive Collection" is unlike any other Tito Puente collection that has been released ever before. It focuses on what many consider to be his definitive era. They are the four albums that defined Tito Puente, his playing, his music and his showmanship until the day he passed away.
One of the highlights included throughout the package are quotes from a very wide palette of musicians, producers and folks from all different walks of life and backgrounds who knew and/or worked with Tito at some point throughout his six decades as a recording artist.
"Tito was responsible for creating the Latin interpretation of jazz. In the annals of jazz history, he will never be forgotten." - Tony Bennett
"Tito was, and continues to be, a universal icon whose music and talent have made millions of people's lives happier for over six decades. He always represented Latinos with pride around the world and his legacy lives on." - Ricky Martin
"If Mario Bauza was the father, and Chano Pozo and Diz created the Big Ban moment, then Tito Puente thru his compositions, arrangements, virtuoso playing and showmanship was the launch pad to catapult Latin Jazz to the masses. He was El Rey!" - Larry Rose, GRP Records, Jazz Roots, Producer & Music Entrepreneur
