Classic Records' reissue of Tubby Hayes' Epic release is one of the most satisfying Jazz listening experiences ever preserved. Hayes was the strong man of the British Modern Jazz Scene. He came to the US in 1961 in a musician's union "lend Lease" with American musician Zoot Sims, who had recorded with spectacular results in London. Tubbs upset the New York Jazz scene with widely received club appearances which culminated with this recording. Tubby's tenor sax is the playfully energetic voice: he succeeds in bringing bandmates Clark Terry and Eddie Costa up to their jolly well best. A very special record that will please the heart of any Jazz listener.

Musicians:
Tubby Hayes, tenor sax
George Duvivier, bass

Dave Bailey, drums
Eddie Costa, vibes
