Grammy Nominated Album on Vinyl LP!

2022 Grammy Award Nominee:
• Best Folk Album: Long Violent History

Tyler Childers is a renowned Kentucky-born bluegrass, country, and folk musician and songwriter. His work celebrates Appalachian culture. In fact, he used his 2021 album, Long Violent History, to give back via The Hickman Holler Appalachian Relief Fund, donating all net proceeds from merchandise to support underserved communities in the Appalachian region.

Long Violent History follows two critically-acclaimed and commercially-successful albums, Purgatory (2017) and Country Squire (2019). The latter peaked at #1 on the US Billboard Top Country Albums charts.

Childers's music, especially on this album, demonstrates his knack for compelling storytelling, excellent musicianship, and the ability to speak to his listeners. Long Violent History hearkens back to a particular time (evidenced in the pre-modern, tin type-like photograph on the cover) and a particular place (reflected by the music and its roots in traditional Appalachian bluegrass and folk). It is refreshing, poignant, inspiring, and powerful.
