Be Sweet to Me is the debut album by Violet Grohl, the daughter of Foo Fighters frontman and Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl. The album's sound was influenced by alternative music from the late '80s and early '90s.

"There's something so powerful about that period of music, from the messaging to the visuals, it's authentic and raw," says Violet, citing the Pixies, Soundgarden, Cocteau Twins, The Breeders, PJ Harvey, The Muffs, Björk, Alice in Chains, L7 and Juliana Hatfield as inspiration. "I've listened to that stuff since I was a kid."

Produced by Justin Raisen (Kim Gordon, Charli xcx), Be Sweet to Me was recorded at Raisen's home studio in Los Angeles and includes the tracks "THUM," "Applefish" and "595."
