Brown & Yellow Vinyl Double LP!
Chocolate and Cheese is the fourth studio album by Ween, originally released by Elektra Records in 1994. It was the first Ween album to eschew the crude four-track home recordings of their first three albums and utilize a professional recording studio. However, most of the instruments were still played by Dean and Gene Ween, including their drum machine.
Ween's fourth album is perhaps their finest moment, a brilliant mix of twisted humor and pure pop genius. Ween draw influence from smooth 70s soul, psych, soft rock, spaghetti westerns, country, funk, indie-rock and more to the point where each song is a spot-on take on a different genre with their silliness being the uniting element. An outsider-pop classic reissued on individual brown & yellow vinyl.
"Building on Pure Guava's more focused approach, the album proved for once and all that along with their twisted sense of humor and wide musical vocabulary, Dean and Gene are also impressive songwriters." -Heather Phares, allmusic.com
