The Bellari VP530 is the Big Brother to the Stereophile Class B recommended component VP129 Tube Phono Stage!
The Bellari VP530 Phonostage is the improved version of the Stereophile Class B Recommended VP129 Tube Phonostage! The VP530 builds upon the basic circuit built into the Bellari VP129. The VP530 Phono Stage features a switch to turn off the RIAA (phono) circuitry so you can feed it either a turntable or a high level source such as a reel to reel or cassette deck.
Imagine running along the beach listening to your favorite records. Well...Wally it's no longer pure fantasy! We all know the sweet luscious sounds produced by the highly acclaimed Bellari VP129. Now, Bellari have released a USB version of the VP129 named the VP530. Going one better than VP129, the VP530 has a USB output which allows users to download their vinyl collection to their computer or hard disc server.
The VP530 employs a sophisticated Burr-Brown PCM2901EG (16 bit 44.1khz) chip in a smartly designed Bellari circuit. This gives you a digital datastream that is output through USB. Through the use of audio editing and recording software you can record this datastream to your hard disc. Audio recording software is included with the VP530 but we recommend the freeware Audacity:

To RIAA or not to RIAA? That is the question. If you're like Randy..."I want to set my own curve"...Audio Vision SF the answer is dead flat...sans RIAA. You can output a flat datastream and set whatever curve you like. You can also choose your own sampling rate and format. Hell...you can start cutting up the tracks sampling and make your own damn music.
The VP530 is a USB/Tube Phono Stage for use with moving-magnet and high output moving-coil cartridges. It includes a built in headphone amplifier, Burr-Brown A2D converter w/USB output, and RIAA curve/flat EQ. The VP530 is designed to amplify an RIAA equalized phono signal to a hi-level signal or provide a usb digital output. Since the unit utilizes tube circuitry, the resulting output signal is more warm and musical than solid state preamplifiers. The real kicker aside from the price and stellar sound is that it's manufactured in the US.
