Bernard Haitink conducts the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5 in D minor, recorded May 21-23, 1981, at Grote Zaal, Concertgebouw, Amsterdam, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra in Shostakovich's Symphony No. 9 in E flat major, recorded January 15-16, 1980, at Kingsway Hall in London.
