This 1965 release features Bill Evans in a trio with bassist Chuck Israels and drummer Larry Bunker. Selections include "'Round Midnight," "Who Can I Turn To" and "If You Could See Me Now."

Seeking to offer definitive audiophile grade versions of some of the most historic and best jazz records ever recorded, Verve Label Group and Universal Music Enterprises' audiophile Acoustic Sounds vinyl reissue series utilizes the skills of top mastering engineers and the unsurpassed production craft of Quality Record Pressings. All titles are mastered from the original analog tapes, pressed on 180-gram vinyl and packaged by Stoughton Printing Co. in high-quality gatefold sleeves with tip-on jackets.

Although all eight of the selections heard on this Verve release have been recorded on other occasions by pianist Bill Evans, these renditions hold their own.
-Scott Yanow, AllMusic
Given the relative scarcity of original pressings, you'd be wise to pick up a copy of this fine reissue if you are a Bill Evans fan, or even if you are just putting your toes into his rich, rewarding waters. Trio '65 is a welcome addition to my Bill Evans collection, I can tell you that.
-Mark Smotroff, Analog Planet, Music 10/11, Sound 9/11
