Newly mastered edition of jazz pianist Bill Evans' seventieth studio album, You Must Believe In Spring, his final recording session with bassist Eddie Gomez and drummer Eliot Zigmund. Featuring ALL-ANALOG mastering cut at 45RPM from the original tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio. The 2-LP set, pressed on 180-gram vinyl at RTI, also includes new liner notes by music journalist, author and historian, Marc Myers.

Thank you Craft Recordings for reissuing You Must Believe In Spring in a beautiful gatefold double 45rpm LP format. This is not a 'throwaway' Evans album. It's an essential part of the discography in my opinion and more worthy than some in the Riverside collection. Plus the sound is exceptional. Highly recommended.

Good music - noisy vinyl.

The music is good. After double ultrasonic cleaning there is still prominent groove noise - for the recording with a lot of quite passages this is not so good.

Beautiful Version of Beautiful LP

You are probably familiar with late career Bill Evans classic. On this double LP 45 rpm reissue it sounds better and more realistic than ever! Last studio album with Eddie Gomez. The versions of "Gary's Theme" and "The Peacocks" are worth the price of the LP by themselves. Must grab this one.

Excellent

Great recording and pressing overall, although my copy had a little surface noise throughout so only 4 stars.

No better than the original

The only advantage is the quiet vinyl. The sound is no better than the original. I am glad I have it as a second copy in case of accidental damage to my original copy.
