The second studio album from Blind Melon was released in 1995 just 8 weeks before the tragic death of vocalist Shannon Hoon.
The album carries a much darker theme than the group's debut with songs about drug detox, a serial killer, child-killing mother, and suicide. The album does include some lighter fare including the song "New Life" which was about the birth of Hoon's daughter, Nico Blue, and "Lemonade" a humorous song about a bar fight.
